See the balance of burgundy shades on leaves of forest green springing into action in summer See raindrops dance with the innocent uninhibited essence of childhood Hear the wind dispel your fears with the calming ease of lullaby whispers drifting aimlessly Feel your body quiver as a fiend craving the kiss of tangerine sunbeams Touch God Reverberated by the spinal penetration of an infant’s laughter
Cry nourishment for uninhabited victims of famine Smell religion at local bake sales while sermons get preached with footprints on grass fields Taste all the beauty in the vastness of tomorrow’s possibilities Feel pain numbing as you fall asleep to promises meant never kept Bop your head to throbbing beats of hearts & souls poured into the atmosphere that is rhythm
Let your senses dance with experiences that shape who you are and the anticipation of what’s to come Believe in change and on the road to duplicity change your course of inevitability
Spend your fortunes on emotions and breathe through the hurt of neglect Your savings account should be a retirement fund of materials left on earth after death
After you see the glare of mornings in Brooklyn Ingest the aroma of grandma’s home cooking Taste the acidic thrill of confronting accomplishment You will then hear inner voices now applaud you and feel what it is to be human
Tell me then Was it worth it
